Natalie Johnson believes in the power of community. A December 2022 graduate from Marietta College, she has spent the past four years living in and loving the Southeast Ohio region. Minoring in Leadership Studies, Natalie was drawn to the idea of service-based leadership. She believes that positive change can be made to communities by fostering collective power through the people.
Putting her passion for service-based leadership to practice, Natalie recently undertook a three-month AmeriCorps term with the Athens, Ohio based nonprofit organization Rural Action. During her term with Rural Action Natalie worked with the sustainable agriculture team to strengthen the local food system in order to build a more resilient and self-sufficient region. It was through this service term that Natalie felt her calling was to foster strength in Southeast Ohio communities.
