Black freedom writers across nations have long used words — written and spoken — as a tool to highlight racial injustice. In honor of Banned Books Week, join the ACLU of Ohio and Karamu House, Inc. for an evening of powerful ideas and powerful writing, where community members read selected works from Black activists who were censored for using their pens to tell the truth. We celebrate these writers and their revolutionary spirit.
