COLUMBUS - Together with the Ohio Voter Rights Coalition, we sent to Secretary LaRose last week sharing our comments on his office’s proposed directives impacting the Election Officials Manual.

This letter outlines substantive comments regarding drop boxes, curbside voting, citizenship verification, and voter registration processes. Additionally, the letter notes places in the proposed Election Officials Manual changes that lack clarity or contradict other sections, laws, or legal settlements.

Expanding voter participation and supporting elections workers should remain a high priority for elected officials. We urge Secretary LaRose to consider and implement our recommendations to strengthen Ohio’s democracy and voter access.
